OK guys. Its obvious I can't compete with you fellas, but I am too stubborn to quit. Nevertheless, I recognize that in the right hands, some of the Caps could help a contending team immensely. So, at 0-8 and with the playoffs as likely as a snowstorm in Los Angeles, I am opening up my team. Everyone is available. Please though, I am a veteran of Madden franchise leagues for years so please do not make insulting offers. I am willing to help anyone out here (even the hated Pens as GI has already discovered) but I want to get something somewhat decent in return. That holds very true for guys like Semin, Green and if you want Ovie, that's probbaly going to cost you quite a bit. But, I will trade any of these guys as long as you are fair with me.

OK Guys. Here is where I stand as to the Ovie sweepstakes. Kev had made an offer, but I don't think it would fly based on our guidelines. Jay, I like Crosby, but, as you will see, the other offers I have received probably make more sense than a straight up Ovie for Crosby trade. Dangles, you made a really nice offer, but GI has probably made me a slightly better deal. GI's offer is as follows: Gonchar, Nash, Gagner and Adams for Ovie, Green, Steckel and Laich. I wanted to give you a opportunity to counter this as I have already made a trade with GI. So, to be fair, I wanted to give everyone a shot at making a better deal, if you can. I know Ovie is a big catch for a lot of you and I want to be fair. Blues, I don't have Backstrom any longer but something for Green may be workable if he does not go to Pittsburgh.

Thats where things stand at the moment guys.

Man, guys, lots and lots of good offers. So good, after my Madden draft tonight, I resorted to my Madden franchise gurus for guidance. These guys are ratings masters and we took a long look at the offers made by Dangles, GI and Kev. After much consideration, here is the offer I am preferring at the moment:

Detroit gets Ovechkin, Poti and Laich (252); Washington gets Heatley, Stuart, and Wheeler (253).

Dangles, I know that is not the one you prefer, but that is the one that makes the most sense for me. The deals where I give up Ovie and Semin, or Oviue and Green are really gutting the team a lot so I am not sure about those. So, Dangles if you still want to do that deal, that's the one I am leaning towards right now.

But, If youve decided to sell the ship why not sell the ship? They are both good deals for both of us in my opinion...Id like the one with Ovie and Semin obviously it will help me more and i think youre still getting plenty back but what ever you want to do.

Dangles, I replied on XBL, but I would prefer the 3 player deal. I get what you are saying about selling the ship, and if things get real, real bad in DC, I would probably be more than willing to make some deals prior to the playoffs. Letting go of Ovie and Backstrom took a lot from the team. I don't know if it is wise to just completely throw in the towel yet. So, if you want to do the 3 player deal, post it up and send me the offer on the game. I'll jump on later and accept it. Have to tend to kids at the moment.
